Happy Birthday Munchkin!

Yesterday was Munchkin's 3rd birthday. I can't believe she's 3. At least if you ignore how insanely tall and heavy she is. And she is so verbal. She speaks really clearly and quite well for a 3 year old. We tried to do a lot of special things for her birthday. We opened presents in the morning, spent time at our library for storytime, had lunch, a quick errand with the hubs, some tv time, then learned how to play her name game mousetrap. Her chosen dinner of pasketti was followed by cake, ice cream and cookies. It you hit the highlights, it was a pretty great day.

Then you remember how she started crying uncontrollably anytime something didn't go her way. Oi. It's Spring Break for Moose right now and the hubs is working a side job so it's me and the 3 all day. With all the busy-ness, she hasn't been getting her nap. Man oh man, she is so emotionally unstable on days without her nap. And then add in the occasional cookie and everyone doing almost anything she asks because "she's the birthday girl" and we ended up with one demanding princess by the end of the day.

Thank goodness today's not her birthday! She's getting a nap, and I have no doubt her siblings will go back to ignoring her regularly and/or saying no to her requests. No spoiled kids in this house! :)

In all seriousness though, Munchkin is so awesome! She has such a fun and mischievous personality. She can be so sincere, apologizing profusely until you recognize her, saying "thank you' unprompted and loving to cuddle on the couch. Our family would be most un-whole without our little missy's contribution to our family. Love her like crazy!
