So we've decided to try and take advantage of the fun sports games and whatnot, and that came into affect this week. The first game was a varsity soccer game. The hubs played soccer in high school, so we're always excited to go watch. I planned ahead and made a dinner picnic (fried chicken!) and we met the hubs at school. We missed the first half, but were able to enjoy some food and sunshine for the rest of the game. Granted, the kids weren't very interested in the game at all, but it entertained them enough, and we were able to have a nice family outing. Moose was even able to kick around his soccer ball with a new friend, who's dad might be one of the coaches for our school's team. So we're hoping if we go again, they'll be there and they can play again.
Tomorrow is homecoming. There's a picnic and the homecoming football game. We're thinking about making an evening of it. If I don't post, well, it's because it was a late night. :) Then there's a varsity volleyball game on Saturday. I might go, just me, while the kiddos nap at home with the hubs. (volleyball is my sport.)
I'm excited about the idea of Moose learning to play team sports, maybe next summer. Me and the hubs are both athletic, and I can see him enjoying it. I can just picture how cute he'll be in his soccer uniform, running around, sweating like a running faucet...ahhh. :) Sweet images. :)
